Difference Between Pognova Floor-standing Shrink Tunnel ET40 ET40P
Our ET40 and ET40P models feature a floor-standing design and a compact furnace tube structure, making them lightweight and easy to move. The furnace tube uses stainless steel heating elements, installed around the entire perimeter, ensuring reliable hot air circulation and a reliable retraction function. The two main heating element types differ in power, airflow, and size; compared to the ET20, the ET30 boasts higher power and airflow, and is also larger.

Pognova Floor-standing Shrink Tunnel ET40
The ET40 shrink tunnel features a powerful 40W fan, reliable hot air circulation, and a reliable shrink function. Its single heating element has a power of 500W, resulting in excellent heat-sealing packaging. It is also smaller and lighter in appearance.

Pognova Floor-standing Shrink Tunnel ET40P
The ET40P shrink tunnel features a powerful 60W fan for even hot air circulation and excellent shrinking effect. Its single heating element has a power of 800W, resulting in better heat sealing. It is also slightly larger in size and has a larger oven cavity, making it more suitable for packaging large-volume products.
How To Choose The Right Model Of You
If your products are relatively tall (exceeding 20 cm), or if you have particularly high standards regarding the aesthetic finish of the shrink-wrapped result, I strongly recommend opting directly for the ET40P model. Compared to the standard version, it features an extended heating tunnel and is equipped with two large internal fans. The airflow generated by this dual-fan system is exceptionally uniform, ensuring that even large items emerge from the tunnel with a perfectly smooth and even shrink-wrap finish from every angle. Conversely, if your facility faces electrical supply limitations, or if your products are 20 cm or less in height, the standard ET40 model offers a more flexible and cost-effective solution.

Learn More About Pognova Floor-standing Shrink Tunnel
The ET40 ET40P series shrink tunnel machine is used to shrink-wrap items with film. The packaged items are sealed, moisture-proof, and contamination-proof, and protected from external impacts, providing cushioning. Especially when packaging fragile items, it prevents items from scattering when broken. Furthermore, it reduces the possibility of product tampering or theft. Suitable for tight packaging of multiple items and pallet packaging.
- The conveyor belt has a maximum speed of 10 meters per minute, and the conveyor speed is adjustable.
- The machine has a simplified structure, is easy to handle, and is suitable for various working environments.
- The oven tunnel is easy to open, facilitating maintenance and parts replacement.
While a heat gun can shrink film, it is manual and inconsistent.
Shrink Tunnel: Provides a 360-degree uniform heat environment. This ensures the film shrinks evenly without “fish-eyes” (wrinkles) or “burn-through” holes.
Consistency: A tunnel uses a conveyor and high-speed blowers to ensure every package looks identical, which is impossible to achieve by hand.
There is no “one-size-fits-all” temperature, as it depends on the film type (PVC, POF, or PE) and the conveyor speed.
Typical Range: Most tunnels operate between 120°C and 180°C.
The Balancing Act: If the temperature is too low, the film won’t shrink fully. If it is too high, or if the conveyor moves too slowly, the film will melt or become brittle. It’s always best to start with a higher speed and lower heat, then adjust gradually.
If you see tiny, uniform holes, those are likely perforations.
The Purpose: As the air inside the package heats up, it expands. Without small “vent holes,” the air would be trapped, causing the package to balloon and potentially burst the film.
The Solution: Most L-sealers (used before the tunnel) have a “pinwheel” perforator that punches these microscopic holes to allow air to escape during the shrinking process.
Temperature is only half of the equation; air velocity is the other half.
Heat Transfer: High-velocity air “scrubs” the cold air away from the package surface, allowing for faster heat transfer.
Control: Quality tunnels allow you to adjust the direction of the air (up, down, or sideways). For example, if the bottom of your package isn’t shrinking well, you would increase the “bottom air” flow.
The conveyor belt choice depends entirely on your product:
Live Rollers: These rotate as they move, helping to shrink the film on the bottom of the package. Best for standard boxes.
Dead Rollers: These do not rotate. They are used for very light or thin products that might get caught between moving rollers.
Teflon Mesh: Used for very small items that would fall through the gaps of a roller conveyor.
