Can a Floor-standing Vacuum Sealer use standard smooth-surface bags?

Yes. This is one of the single-chamber machine’s greatest advantages.

Principle: Unlike household external-suction vacuum machines (which require expensive textured bags), a single-chamber machine evacuates the air from the entire chamber during operation, thereby equalizing the pressure both inside and outside the bag.

Cost: You can use more affordable commercial smooth vacuum bags (such as PE/PA laminate bags). For users with high-volume packaging needs, this results in significant savings on consumable costs.

How often does the vacuum pump oil need to be changed?

The vacuum pump is the heart of the machine; therefore, regular oil changes are crucial:

Recommended Interval: It is generally recommended to change the oil after every 500 to 800 cumulative hours of operation.

Observation Window: The simplest method is to check the oil sight glass located on the side of the machine. If the lubricant turns milky-white (due to moisture ingress) or dark brown (due to oxidation/degradation), it must be changed immediately—even if the scheduled interval has not yet been reached—otherwise, it will damage the pump body and compromise the vacuum level.

Weak Seal (Incomplete Seal): The sealing time is too short, or there are oil stains or residues on the sealing cloth (high-temperature-resistant tape).

What are the best practices for packaging liquids or foods containing juices?

Single-chamber machines are capable of packaging liquids, but certain precautions must be observed during operation:

Control the Liquid Level: Do not fill the bag with liquid beyond two-thirds of its total volume; this prevents the liquid from overflowing the bag opening due to the “boiling effect” that occurs during the vacuuming process.

Use a Slanted Insert: If packaging smaller bags of liquid, you can place a slanted insert (ramp) inside the chamber to elevate the bag opening relative to the bottom, thereby preventing liquid spillage and ensuring the sealing area remains dry.

Can a Floor-standing Vacuum Sealer operate continuously without interruption?

Although the single-chamber machine is designed for commercial use, proper heat management remains essential:

Operational Efficiency: The machine operates on a “load-vacuum-unload” cycle, capable of completing approximately 2 to 3 cycles per minute.

Thermal Protection: During high-frequency, continuous sealing operations (such as working uninterrupted for several hours), the sealing bar will accumulate heat.
